Annie and Maggie, a spunky terrier mix, travel through the American southwest in Annie's white van. They roll from the Oregon woods to southeastern Arizona and back by way of Utah in search of inspiration and 70 degree weather. Their journey is documented with handwritten notes and sketches, and is accompanied by 32 whimsical hand drawn, color-able illustrations and maps.
Maggie is the star and can be found in every illustration along with a variety of other animals and curious things she discovers on their hikes. However the journal itself is written first person, from the artist’s point of view. It’s heartfelt, playful and a little psychedelic!
The book content and illustrations are appropriate for older audiences. The coloring pages are sophisticated and will require some blending skills. They will work for most medias and can/could be downloaded for at home transfer.
